Can you see me?

by Tiffany

As one of the most richly biodiverse places on the planet (home to 10% of all of the world's known biodiversity), the Amazon is home to countless animals and plants. As their habitat shrinks and suffers from degradation due of resource extraction, deforestation, pollution, illegal hunting, and shifting patterns of immigration, these animals are watching us. Why can't we see them? Their suffering? We are directly responsible for what is happening in the Amazon but do we take responsibility?
